About us

The Gold Bowl Classic is rich tradition for the Richmond community that dates back to 1976. The event was deemed the "Gold Bowl" as the symbol of highest quality and longevity, and that tradition lives on today. While the format of the Gold Bowl has gone through various iterations over the years, its commitment to HBCU football culture and community impact has remained steadfast.

After being passed the torch from the Richmond Gold Bowl Sponsors, Incorporated, Avail is proud to continue the tradition in partnership with our many education, government, business and community partners. We are committed to keeping the tradition alive to preserve our history while benefiting the community for years to come!
